The Blessing of Lebanon, the Hope of Israel, and the Kingdom of Elohim
We stand in a time when the nations are shaking, Israel is pressured, leaders are falling, and many people are looking into the abyss of what may be coming. Yet in the middle of the storm, the Word of Elohim gives us an anchor: “You will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is fixed on You, because he trusts in You” — ישעיהו / Isaiah 26:3. The Hebrew idea is powerful: יֵצֶר סָמוּךְ תִּצֹּר שָׁלוֹם שָׁלוֹם, “a steadfast mind You keep in peace, peace.” This is not shallow peace. This is covenant peace, kingdom peace, the peace of Elohim surrounding His people when the world is raging.
We pray for Lebanon. We pray for the people of Lebanon to be released from the grip of Iran, Hezbollah, corruption, fear, and every spirit that keeps them chained. We pray, “Elohim, be all around us. Give us boldness.” Lebanon is not only a modern battlefield; Lebanon is also a place full of biblical memory. Scripture speaks of the cedars of Lebanon, the beauty of Lebanon, the fragrance of Lebanon, and the glory of Lebanon. “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon” — תהילים / Psalm 92:12. “The trees of YHVH are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which He hath planted” — תהילים / Psalm 104:16. Lebanon was connected to strength, worship, craftsmanship, and the house of Elohim, because cedars from Lebanon were used in building the Temple — מלכים א׳ / 1 Kings 5:6, 5:10; דברי הימים ב׳ / 2 Chronicles 2:8.
Yet Lebanon’s coast also reminds us of warning. Tyre and Sidon were ancient Phoenician cities in the region of modern Lebanon. Tyre rejoiced over Jerusalem’s pain, and Elohim judged her pride — יחזקאל / Ezekiel 26:2–4. The ruler of Tyre became lifted up because of wealth, trade, wisdom, and beauty — יחזקאל / Ezekiel 28:2. Many believers have also seen in יחזקאל / Ezekiel 28:13–17 a deeper picture of satanic pride: beauty becoming arrogance, authority becoming rebellion, and creation trying to exalt itself above the Creator. Sidon also became a painful neighbor to Israel, but Elohim declared that He would be glorified and known as holy — יחזקאל / Ezekiel 28:20–24.
Still, judgment is not the final word. Yeshua Himself went into the region of Tyre and Sidon — מתי / Matthew 15:21; מרקוס / Mark 7:24. There, a Canaanite woman cried out for mercy, and Yeshua said, “O woman, great is thy faith” — מתי / Matthew 15:28. This is a holy mystery: the same region associated with pride and judgment also became a place where mercy broke through. Yeshua revealed that humility, faith, and desperate trust can open a door of healing even in borderlands marked by ancient wounds.
We also remember that twice in the New Covenant Yeshua marvels at great faith, and both times it is connected with non-Jewish people. This reminds the Kehilah that Elohim is drawing the nations, not to replace Israel, but to bless Israel, stand with Israel, and worship the Elohim of Israel. The kingdom is not built by hatred; it is built by covenant, repentance, humility, and truth.
Today there is a revolution against Israel in many nations. The spirit of the age often feels like a return to the 1940s, with anti-Israel hatred rising in universities, media, governments, streets, and international forums. Yet this does not surprise Scripture. Balaam prophesied over Israel: “Lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations” — במדבר / Numbers 23:9. Israel may feel isolated among the nations, but Israel is not abandoned by the Elohim of Israel. The nations may debate, condemn, and pressure, but the covenant of Elohim still stands.
The prophet Zechariah says that Jerusalem would become a burdensome stone for all peoples — זכריה / Zechariah 12:3. Jeremiah records the promise of YHVH: “I am with thee… to save thee… yet will I not make a full end of thee” — ירמיהו / Jeremiah 30:11. Daniel speaks of a time of trouble such as never was, yet also of deliverance for those written in the book — דניאל / Daniel 12:1. Yeshua tells His disciples to rejoice because their names are written in heaven — לוקס / Luke 10:20. Malachi speaks of a book of remembrance written for those who fear YHVH and think upon His name — מלאכי / Malachi 3:16.
This is why we do not give in to fear. Joy is real in trials. Hope is real in war. Faith is real when the abyss seems near. Elohim “gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did” — אל הרומים / Romans 4:17. Therefore we call forth restoration. We call forth courage. We call forth builders. We call forth housing. We call forth the return. We call forth prefabricated homes, prepared shelters, strengthened families, healed soldiers, restored olim, and a generation that will not bow to despair.
The kingdom message is still alive: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of Elohim is at hand: repent ye, and believe the good news” — מרקוס / Mark 1:15. This kingdom is coming in fullness. One day Elohim will wipe away every tear. “There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain” — חזון יוחנן / Revelation 21:4. Isaiah declares that He will swallow up death in victory and wipe away tears from all faces — ישעיהו / Isaiah 25:8. Again Revelation says the Lamb will lead His people to living waters, and Elohim will wipe away all tears from their eyes — חזון יוחנן / Revelation 7:17. Isaiah also speaks of the day when swords will be beaten into plowshares and nations will not learn war anymore — ישעיהו / Isaiah 2:4.
Until that day, we must become faithful examples. The world is full of disgraced leaders in fashion, acting, music, politics, media, and even religion. Many become role models for rebellion, greed, perversion, pride, and self-worship. But we pray: “Elohim, make us good examples for the next generation to follow.” We need fathers turned to children and children turned to fathers — מלאכי / Malachi 4:5–6. John came in the spirit and power of Elijah to prepare the way — לוקס / Luke 1:17; מתי / Matthew 11:14. We need that spirit of preparation again.
Jude warns the Kehilah about corrupt leaders who appear spiritual but carry dangerous hearts. “Woe unto them!” — איגרת יהודה / Jude 1:11. He names three paths: the way of Cain, the error of Balaam, and the rebellion of Korah. Cain represents jealousy, hatred, false worship, and murder in the heart — בראשית / Genesis 4:1–16. Balaam represents using spiritual gifts for reward, fame, and personal gain — במדבר / Numbers 22–24; במדבר / Numbers 31:16; איגרת פטרוס השנייה / 2 Peter 2:15; חזון יוחנן / Revelation 2:14. Korah represents rebellion against rightful authority while using spiritual language to hide pride — במדבר / Numbers 16.
Yet even here there is mercy. “Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not” — במדבר / Numbers 26:11. The sons of Korah became servants, worshipers, and psalm writers. Their family line was not remembered only for rebellion; it was restored into worship. That is the heart of Elohim: judgment against rebellion, but mercy for those who return.
This is why we can declare: no curse can land against Israel. “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel” — במדבר / Numbers 23:23. Balaam was hired to curse, but Elohim turned the curse into blessing. The enemy still tries to curse Israel through media, diplomacy, terror, accusation, witchcraft, hatred, and fear. But the covenant remains. Israel will be pressed, but not erased. Shaken, but not forsaken. Surrounded, but not abandoned.
We also recognize that even in the Qur’an, the Injil is mentioned as revelation connected to Yeshua son of Miriam. References include Surah al-Ma’idah 5:46–47, Āl ʿImrān 3:3, 3:48, and al-Hadīd 57:27. This gives an opening for conversation with Muslims: the Injil is described as containing guidance and light. We pray that many would seek the true light, the true mercy, and the true King.
So we pray for Lebanon. We pray for Israel. We pray for the nations. We pray for the Kehilah to awaken. May the glory of Lebanon, the strength of the cedars, and the mercy of Yeshua seen near Tyre and Sidon be restored for blessing, healing, and peace. May Israel stand strong in covenant. May the sons and daughters return. May the builders arise. May the leaders repent. May the believers become living examples. May the kingdom of Elohim come on earth as it is in heaven. And may Yeshua the Messiah be revealed in mercy, truth, and glory.
