Multiply: A Divine Mandate and a Blueprint for Kingdom Growth

From the very beginning of creation, the desire of Elohim has been for life to flourish. The first command given to humankind—before there was sin, law, or priesthood—was to multiply. Multiplication was not a suggestion or a reward for performance; it was and remains the natural result of divine blessing.

  1. Multiply Is Elohim’s Will

“Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you—birds and cattle and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth—so that they may abound on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.”

Genesis 8:17 (NKJV)

The command to “be fruitful and multiply” was re-affirmed to Noach after the flood. This shows that multiplication is part of the reset of creation. When we multiply—whether in family, in discipleship, or in leadership—we align ourselves with the rhythm of Heaven.

  1. Multiply Is a Sign That It’s Going Well for You

Multiplication is a biblical sign of life, health, and divine favor. The absence of multiplication, in contrast, often signals barrenness—spiritually or physically. The fruitfulness of the land, the Kehilah, and the family unit were all ways Elohim measured blessing in ancient Israel.

Yeshua said:

“By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”

John 15:8 (NKJV)

This fruit is not only spiritual but communal—our Kehilah must bear fruit, which includes growing in numbers, in maturity, and in sending out others to multiply elsewhere.

My House Is Not Full Yet: The Invitation Still Stands

Yeshua gave a powerful parable in Luke 14 about a great banquet. The master of the house saw that the table was not full and sent his servants out to the streets and lanes to bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame. And still, there was room!

“Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.’”

Luke 14:23 (NKJV)

This is still our mandate. The house of Elohim is not full! We are to partner with Him in making room—physically and spiritually—for more sons and daughters to be adopted into the Kingdom.

There’s No Pressure to Grow—Just Grow Naturally

Spiritual growth and multiplication are not about manipulation or performance. It’s about creating an environment where growth is inevitable. That may mean:

Adding midweek groups

Opening our homes

Building covered patios for gatherings

Embracing a growth mindset

Discipling with character over charisma

Yeshua was never impressed by flashy gifts. What matters most is the formation of character.

“The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples.”

Deuteronomy 7:7 (NKJV)

Elohim delights in using the least, the overlooked, and the faithful.

Building Block #1: It’s Not Good to Be Alone

“And the LORD Elohim said, ‘It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.’”

Genesis 2:18 (NKJV)

Whether in marriage, ministry, or community, we are not meant to walk alone. Even Messiah, full of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), surrounded Himself with disciples.

“Elohim sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity…”

Psalm 68:6 (NKJV)

We must resist isolation. Even the strongest elder or pastor should not lead as a “Superman.” True leadership is shared.

Building Block #2: A New System Must Emerge

The old system of solo leadership, financial instability, and burnout is breaking. In its place, we must build something stronger:

Shared leadership among elders

Income models that sustain the mission

Kingdom families—husbands, wives, children, and grandparents

Space planning—both spiritual and physical

Administrative systems that match our vision

Israel’s tribes camped in order, around a central point: the Mishkan (Tabernacle). This was a divine system.

Building Block #3: Local Elders and Plural Leadership

“And when they had preached the gospel… they returned… confirming the souls of the disciples… and when they had ordained them elders in every Kehilah, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord…”

Acts 14:21–23 (NKJV)

A Kehilah without elders is like a body without joints. It may have life, but it will be stiff and break under pressure. Plurality of leadership provides safety, accountability, and longevity.

“In the multitude of counselors there is safety.”

Proverbs 11:14 (NKJV)

Minimum? Three elders. Two is still too fragile. A team of elders should represent diverse experiences, spiritual gifts, and relational wisdom.

Building Block #4: Apostolic Oversight and Sending

Paul and Barnabas modeled apostolic oversight by planting, appointing, and releasing local leadership. This kingdom pattern must be restored.

In our community, we’ve seen leaders emerge:

Erik, our founder and first elder

James, our current lead elder

Chad, serving temporarily but under oversight

  1. Paul, an apostolic voice of accountability

This structure works only if we set in elders locally, not as dictators but as shepherds.

Redefining Family and Congregation

In Israel, tribes were both biological and spiritual. The body of Messiah is also both. The Kehilah is a spiritual family.

The Torah describes:

Camps and their arrangement

Altar dimensions and sacrifices

Tabernacle construction down to thread colors

Details matter. Elohim is a builder. And so must we be.

“Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it…”

Psalm 127:1 (NKJV)

We need a system, a blueprint. Spontaneity cannot sustain generations. But structure aligned with the Spirit multiplies generational impact.

Accountability and Charity Support

Our house is part of the broader family—like King of Kings, with over 200 years of pastoral experience and a track record of shared leadership.

“Two are better than one… and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

Ecclesiastes 4:9, 12 (NKJV)

When one pastor is alone, funny business can happen. But when there is a team, there is protection.

Help Is Coming: Expanding the Kingdom Together

The harvest is plentiful. Yeshua said:

“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers…”

Matthew 9:37–38 (NKJV)

We are praying in workers, elders, volunteers, and visionaries. This is not a man-made expansion. This is a Spirit-led, Messiah-centered multiplication that will echo into eternity.

Final Charge: Pray It In

Every building block requires prayer. Yeshua said:

“Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain…”

Psalm 127:1 again

We do not build through human strength but through fasting, prayer, and setting apart leaders with the laying on of hands and the anointing of the Ruach.

You are not alone. Multiply. Mentor. Serve. Build.

Let’s fill the house.
