On Israel election day, I keep returning to one question: What kind of country will our children inherit? This election will shape decisions that reach far beyond today, into the homes, communities, and lives of the next generation.

At the kalpi, the voting station, Israelis choose the party lists that will fill the Knesset’s 120 seats. Those results will shape the coalition negotiations and the government that follows. The responsibility is enormous, especially after everything our people have endured.
The People Who Carried One Another
Since October 7, 2023, when I was called up to defend Israeli families, we have buried loved ones and watched communities struggle through war and displacement. Soldiers and reservists have spent long periods away from home. Families have faced missiles, fear, financial pressure, and the difficult work of rebuilding.
Alongside that suffering, I have seen extraordinary generosity. I remember people stopping me on the road and offering a sandwich or fruit because I was going to defend Israel. Those simple moments stay with me. People found a practical way to say that we were in this together.
That same sense of responsibility for one another belongs at the heart of our national life now.
Unity While We Disagree on Israel Election Day
Here in the Galilee, I think of Psalm 133:1:
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
Our disagreements are serious and legitimate. People are demanding accountability and debating the future. Different generations bring different concerns, and many voters carry grief and fear into the polling station.
As a father and reservist, I know how much depends on teamwork. I want our children to inherit a secure Israel where we can disagree, listen, and still care for one another. We have to carry our responsibility for this country seriously and our responsibility for each other deeply.
Israel’s Story Continues
New immigrants are coming home and building their lives here. Families are rebuilding. Teachers, farmers, soldiers, and volunteers are all helping shape the country our children will know. Each has a part in Israel’s continuing story.
Please keep Israel in your prayers. Pray for wisdom in leadership, for trust between our people and our institutions, and for the strength to make our shared future better. That work will continue long after the votes are counted.
Thank you, friends, for standing with me, for sharing this update, and for being part of the story of Israel’s restoration.
