International Women's Day 2025: A Time of Activation and Divine Purpose By: Chaim Malespin
International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, observed on March 8, is approaching rapidly, carrying the theme “Expand Activation”—a call to action for women to step into their roles as leaders, warriors, and builders of a better future.
This day falls in the Hebrew month of Adar, a time of reversal and divine intervention, as seen in the Book of Esther, where a decree for destruction was overturned, leading to salvation and joy. The connection between women’s empowerment today and the biblical story of Esther is clear—this is a time for women to rise with boldness and walk in their divine calling.
As Esther 4:14 states: “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
The Significance of Adar and Women’s Strength in Israel
The month of Adar holds deep prophetic meaning. Haman sought to annihilate the Jewish people on the 13th of Adar (Esther 3:13), but through the boldness of Queen Esther, the decree was reversed, leading to the establishment of Purim, a festival of great joy (Esther 9:1-22).
This mirrors the modern battle Israel faces—enemies arise, decrees are made against her, and yet, through Elohim’s intervention, deliverance always comes. Women today are being called to be modern-day Esthers, standing against injustice, advocating for truth, and leading in every sphere of life.
As the Talmud, Ta’anit 29a says: “When Adar enters, joy increases.”
Yet, this joy follows courage, just as Esther had to risk everything to bring redemption.
Women as Builders and Warriors in Scripture
Women in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) played pivotal roles in the destiny of Israel. Their courage and faith shaped history, just as women today continue to shape Israel and the world.
Biblical Women Who Activated Change:
Deborah (Judges 4-5) – A prophetess, judge, and military leader, she led Israel’s army to victory over Sisera.
Yael (Judges 4:21) – A warrior in her own right, she struck down the enemy general Sisera.
Miriam (Exodus 15:20-21) – A leader in the Exodus, she guided and encouraged Israel’s women.
Ruth (Ruth 1:16-17) – A woman of loyalty and faith, she played a key role in Messianic lineage.
Esther (Esther 4:14) – A woman who risked everything to save Israel, standing in the courts of a pagan king.
Each of these women activated their calling, defied fear, and aligned with Elohim’s purposes. Today, women in Israel and around the world are called to do the same.
Adar and the Completion of the Temple
Another major historical event linked to Adar is the completion of the Second Temple:
“And the house was finished on the third day of the month of Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.” (Ezra 6:15)
This was a moment of national restoration, signaling that after exile, after opposition, Elohim is faithful to fulfill His promises.
Haggai 2:9 declares:
“The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith Elohim of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith Elohim of hosts.”
Just as Adar was a month from completing the Temple, women today are called to be builders—of families, of nations, and of Elohim’s kingdom.
Modern-Day Spiritual Battles: Hamas and the Nephilim Spirit
The enemies of Israel throughout history have followed the same anti-Elohim, anti-Israel pattern—from Amalek to Haman, from Rome to Hamas today.
The Nephilim spirit represents rebellion against Elohim’s order. Hamas, Hezbollah, and their allies follow this same violent pattern, seeking to eradicate Israel, much like Haman’s decree (Esther 3:13).
As Psalm 83:4 prophecies:
“Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more.”
But just as Elohim delivered Israel in the past, He will do so again.
Modern Warfare and Biblical Strategies
Israel’s battles today reflect the military strategies found in the Bible. Consider how the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) operates similarly to biblical warriors:
Biblical Warfare Modern IDF Strategy
Joshua sent spies (Numbers 13:1-2, Joshua 2:1) Shin Bet (Israeli intelligence) infiltrates Hamas networks.
David’s precision strike on Goliath (1 Samuel 17:49) IDF precision airstrikes eliminate Hamas leaders.
Gideon’s psychological warfare (Judges 7:16-22) Cyber warfare, disinformation tactics, and psychological operations.
Nehemiah rebuilt Jerusalem’s walls under constant attack (Nehemiah 4:17-18) Israel’s Iron Dome defense system against rockets.
The Battle is Not Over
The hostages taken by Hamas on October 7, 2023, symbolize a temporary exile. But just as the Jews always return from exile, so too will the hostages.
Jeremiah 24:5-6 declares:
“Like these good figs, so I will regard as good the exiles from Judah, whom I have sent away from this place to the land of the Chaldeans. I will set my eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land.”
This biblical cycle of exile and return is being fulfilled in real-time.
Women as Leaders in Israel’s Future
The future belongs to women who activate their calling. Just as Esther was raised for such a time as this, women in Israel and around the world must rise up in leadership, prayer, and action.
Ways Women Can Activate Their Calling Today:
Support Aliyah – Help bring exiles home to Israel.
Stand for Truth – Defend Israel in media, politics, and education.
Pray and Fast – Like Esther, seek Elohim’s intervention.
Build and Defend – Invest in Israel’s future, in family and community.
Final Thoughts: The Red Line Protocols
It is time to revisit the bylaws of every organization that stands for Israel’s future. The non-negotiable vision must be clear:
Israel’s survival is a biblical mandate.
Elohim’s promises to Israel will never fail.
The war against Israel is spiritual, as well as physical.
Women are central to this battle—warriors, leaders, and builders of the future.
As Isaiah 11:12 declares:
“He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; He will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.”
International Women’s Day 2025 is not just a time to celebrate—it is a time to activate. A time to rise as Esthers, Deborahs, and Miriams in defense of Israel, of truth, and of the kingdom of Elohim.
